Yes! While we would love for you to dust off your Spanish, most people in Antigua speak English, especially in hotels, restaurants, and popular tourist areas. But if you want to impress the locals, a simple "¡Gracias!" (Thank you) or "¡Hola!" (Hello) goes a long way!
As soon as possible! The earlier you RSVP, the easier it is for us to plan—and the sooner you can start getting excited!
While we absolutely love your little ones, our celebration will be adults-only, with the exception of children in our immediate family. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Whether you’re looking for a cozy Airbnb, a boutique hotel, or a fancy resort with all the perks, Antigua has something for every vibe and budget. Check out our Travel & Stay page for our top picks!
The closest airport is La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City, about a 1 hour drive from Antigua. We’ll be coordinating shuttles based on arrival times—once you have your travel details, please submit them here!
Prefer to arrange your own transportation? No problem! Let us know, and we’ll share a list of recommended options.
Guatemala uses the Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ). While some places accept U.S. dollars, it’s best to have quetzals for smaller purchases. You’ll find currency exchange areas at the airport, but if you forget, no worries! ATMs are available, and most hotels and restaurants accept major credit cards.
The majority of restaurants in Antigua serve filtered water, and many Airbnbs are equipped with eco-friendly filters and water coolers to ensure you have access to clean, safe water. While the tap water is treated, it's always best to stick with filtered or bottled water to avoid any potential tummy troubles!
Antigua has amazing spring-like weather year-round! Expect warm days (70s-80s°F) and cooler evenings (50s-60s°F). It can get a little breezy, so bring a light jacket for the evenings. The sun is strong here so sunscreen is highly suggested!
Think chic but comfy! Antigua has cobblestone streets, so ladies, consider block heels or sneakers. Just ask Maggie—after all the walking she did here, she’ll be the first to recommend sneakers!
For the wedding, dressy cocktail attire is perfect. We’ll share any special dress codes for other events, so stay tuned!
We want everyone to eat, drink, and be merry! If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure there’s something delicious for you to enjoy.
Antigua is incredibly walkable, and exploring on foot is part of its charm! The main part of the city is about a 9-block by 9-block grid, with the central plaza at its heart.
Need a break from walking? Tuk-tuks (small three-wheeled taxis) are a fun and affordable option, and Uber is also available.
If your invite says “+1,” then yes! If not, reach out, and we’ll see what we can do—we want everyone to have a great time, but space is limited!
If there’s one thing Mandy loves, it’s sharing her favorite eats and drinks! From the best coffee spots to must-try cocktails, delicious bites, and cool souvenir shops, we’ve got you covered. Head over to our Travel & Stay page for all the recs!
